Bio
Gavin MacDougall lives in Toronto. He has exhibited in Toronto at TOAF,
Art Interiors, Latitude 44, and Project Gallery. He graduated from Centennial College’s Fine Arts Studio program in 2013. Gavin won a competition to design a 40ft wide x 8ft high mural, which was installed at Centennial College Progress Campus in 2017.

enduring / fleeting
@44, -79 is part of a series I’ve titled Both Sides Now as a nod to the song by Joni Mitchell and to suggest outward and inward perspectives. The paintings are based on photographs I have taken and direct observations.
Each piece is an expression of a particular place and time. The skyscapes are at once universal and personal.
