Since Valentine’s Day 1999, Struts Gallery and the Owens Art Gallery in Sackville New Brunswick have worked together to present The Sweetest Little Thing, a beloved annual fundraiser and community event. This February 14, 2025, marks the twenty-sixth year of SLT and it promises to be a very special evening! An exhibition of donated artworks will be on view at the Owens Art Gallery from February 7-14, 2025. As usual, all funds raised go directly to supporting ongoing programs at both galleries, including artist residencies, community outreach, and art education programs. The Ottawa Art Gallery has acquired two textile artworks by James Fowler. "Melts in Your Mouth Not Your Hand" and "Magically Delicious”. Both works will be on view for an exhibition, "Grotto', Spring 2025.

Time as was told, video work by Laura Millard will be playing in Water (Deshkan Ziibi) at the ArtLAB Gallery, London Ontario, as well as virtually, December 12, noon-midnight.
Millard's five-minute work will be shown as part of the Doris McCarthy premier, 3:00 pm.

Filamentous, an installation by Elaine Whittaker and Kelley Aitken, draws from the daily rituals of their lives during the pandemic -- restorative walks in nature and virtual conversations over tea. The installation is made of solar-dyed teabag panels, net canopies with cyanotype silk portraits, and interwoven rope nests.

Artist member Tazeen Qayyum, accompanied by Aga Khan Master Musicians, Feras Charestan and Basel Rajoub, presents a live performance titled اسمعوا واعوا (Isma'u wa'u ) at the National Museum of Qatar at the opening of the exhibition Manzar: Art and Architecture from Pakistan 1940s to Today. Isma'u wa'u is a famous Arabic idiom, attributed to Quss Ibn Sa'ida (600-700 A.D), which translates to 'listen and learn'
