The Red Head Gallery is pleased to present as part of their summer rental exhibitions, Wasteland by artist Michelle Cieloszczyk.

Daily, dirty, unwanted, filled, and emptied - waste embodies an absence of human presence. Wasteland draws on the intersection of private and public space in the waste of a rapidly consuming society. Tactile engagements with found objects exhibit the art-object as detritus of the artist. Cieloszczyk examines objects as consumed products, which become static matrixes of ever similar or dissimilar use and interpretations throughout time. Discerning materiality drives the artist’s series of found object installations, bronze works, and drawings.

Michelle Cieloszczyk is completing her BFA in Sculpture/Installation at OCAD University.
