CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: INSOMNIA SALON SOIRÉE
The Red Head Gallery is accepting submissions for the Insomnia Salon Soirée, our yearly salon show specially created for Toronto’s Nuit Blanche. The exhibition begins October 1st at noon, and culminates with Nuit Blanche's end at 7am on the morning of October 5th.
As part of the 401 Richmond St. West complex, thousands of visitors come through the Red Head Gallery each Nuit Blanche. We encourage new artists to be part of this exciting event. This year, in keeping with the original salon style, we are offering the opportunity to submit up to 3 small works, or a couple mid-sized works, or 1 large work. Each work will have a minimum of 5 inches of space around it.
SUBMISSION DEADLINE EXTENDED TO SEPTEMBER 27, 2014
Submissions will be reviewed on an ongoing basis. If accepted, work must be dropped off at the gallery no later than Saturday, September 27th between 12 noon and 5 pm, but can be delivered during gallery hours -12 noon ’til 5 pm, between Wednesday, September 24th to Friday, September 26th. Artwork must be picked up no later than 12 noon on the Sunday, October 5th.
Artworks must reflect the theme of Insomnia, as interpreted by the artist and must meet the aesthetic standards of the gallery. There are limitations on size and media (see Participating Artist Agreement).
