Bio
In the spring of 2009, I began photographing rural scenes in the vicinity of Elora Ontario. The results inspired me to continue meandering, getting lost with my camera on country roads.
I became fixated with the dense interplay of tangled foliage, rocks and water juxtaposed with man-made structures and the remnants left behind. In time, these images evoked a calm yet unsettling communion with nature. I continue to photograph, venturing out further not sure of my destination.
Getting lost is not figurative; lost is good. My process and intent remain, capturing images that are unsettling, unnamable; trusting the camera’s third eye, trusting my intuition.
