The Red Head Gallery is pleased to present TERROR!$T, an exhibition by artist, Philip Hare.

Today’s terror level in America: Orange, or High.  It’s also the colour of the current commander in chief.  Co-incidence?  I don’t think so.

Sex, religion, and money are the holy trinity of terror.  Though there are myriad methods of manipulating the masses, these three are among the most popular.  And Donald Trump employs them all.  Hugely.  But the Cheeto in Chief does not own the market on terror tactics. Sadly, he only codifies them.  In every office, school, home, and Facebook group someone is being terrorized.  It’s just a matter of scale.

Philip Hare’s imposing hand stitched textile works draw on a palette inspired by the defunct Homeland Security Advisory System.  Comprised of hundreds of faceless faces, his trilogy of terror looms large above us.  And within.

Philip Hare is a multi media artist based in Toronto, Canada.  He received a diploma in Graphic Design from Sheridan College.  Hare has been a member of several artist collectives in Toronto and is very happy to be mounting his first solo exhibition with Red Head.
